The use of dry cleaning chemicals such as Perchloroethylene and Trichloroethylene, which being drained in to soil after use, contaminates the soil and renders it toxic for plants, micro organisms and ground water thereby affecting the soil ecosystem. The Sodium permanganate solution are distributed into the soil by a means of mechanical mixing to destroy contaminants in the soil and groundwater by chemical oxidation. The manganese dioxide which precipitates does not adversely affect the ground water and the soil. Sodium permanganate solution is also injected in to the soil and ground water table to neutralise toxic heavy metals such as Arsenic, Iron, Manganese and other odor causing elements.
